Before we were engaged we booked the photographer.   Mr Pretzel and I agreed that our top priority for our wedding (after the ceremony) was photography.  Not just photography… KICK A$$ photography.

Style was very important to us, having a huge fancy album… not so important.  Photography was one of the first things I googled when we started to talk wedding.  I bookmarked different Seattle photographers and started reading their blogs.   Let’s be honest- I was pretty certain who I was going to use from the first photo I saw, but this is a wedding of two people and I really wanted Mr P’s opinion.

There were three main contenders- based on photography style:

One Love Photo: We felt that One Love had great uses of different camera types, beautiful soft light, and and overall vintage feel.  The photos are amazing and it is no wonder One Love is one of the most sought after photographers in and out of the Seattle area.

In a Frame Photography Mr Pretzel and I liked the color and composition of In a Frame- the photos seemed crisp and clean.  Also there was some style variety in the collection.

Amore Studios Color, Urban, Funky & Unique… says it all!  The style is very distinct and it captured my heart. We loved the juxtiposition of brides and grooms with graffiti and urban landscape.

We compared services and prices, talked about each photographer’s ability to do multiple styles and ultimately chose Amore.  We felt like they were most likely to “get us” and be able to blend some of the soft focus stuff that Mr Knit loved with the bright vivid colors that I love.  We both wanted the urban edge that Amore had and to be honest the services for the price was great.  We even got a 10% discount because we paid for the whole package upfront instead of doing a deposit and the balance later.

The package also included an engagement shot- which Mr Pretzel and I decided was important, because…  ummm… we kind suck at taking photos.  OMG, we do the most awkward things in photos and we totally need Tyra Banks to teach us to model! *Smeyes – ANTM fans!*

When we met with Bryan and Melody we clicked- this was the right choice.  Check out my favorite images from their AWESOME blog!
